Building & Hosting My Own Portfolio Website

My goal was simple: build a professional portfolio without recurring hosting costs. To achieve this, I turned an old Dell desktop into a secure web server running my domain samsortino.com. Along the way, I implemented Cloudflare protection, automated SSL renewals, backup scripts to OneDrive, and multiple cybersecurity defenses against real-world attacks. The result is a cost-effective, secure, and professional site that doubles as a showcase of my skills.
