Project Overview
Werribee VS Toorak is a light-hearted yet insightful street talk video that explores public perceptions of two very different Melbourne suburbs. Featuring stand-up comedian Brett Hunter, the piece contrasts the opinions of locals in both areas through candid, often humorous interviews. The aim was to use comedy as a lens for subtle social commentary, sparking conversation around class, culture, and community identity.
My Role
I was responsible for developing the concept and driving the entire production process-from pre-production planning through to capturing footage on location. Working solo behind the camera, I handled all technical aspects, including DSLR cinematography and wireless audio setup, while coordinating on-the-fly interviews in unpredictable public settings.
