Blending Live Performance with Cinematic Storytelling
This live performance video features singer-songwriter Ellis Wilson performing his song “Unseen.” I directed, filmed, and edited the entire segment, using a green screen setup to integrate scenes from the original music video into the background. The result is a rich, layered visual that combines live authenticity with atmospheric narrative, bringing a new dimension to the performance.
A Multi-Camera, Studio-Quality Setup
The video was filmed in a dedicated home studio environment for the online music show Liveformusic.tv, where I was a key contributor to content production. The studio was outfitted with professional lighting, a green screen backdrop, and multiple DSLR cameras to create a dynamic, multicamera shoot.
A Collaborative Production Workflow
Working alongside a team that included a producer, sound engineers, and camera operators, we captured high-fidelity audio using wireless microphones and coordinated smooth live takes across various angles. My role extended from pre-production setup to post-production editing, ensuring consistency and quality throughout.

In post, I layered in visuals from Ellis's original music video behind the green screen, aligning timing and tone to enhance the mood of the song. This approach demonstrated my ability to blend performance with storytelling, using compositing techniques to create something more immersive than a standard live session.
